Four rules. The first one matters more than the other three combined.
Wash cold, inside out, tumble dry low or hang, and iron on the reverse if at all. Turning it inside out is the single highest-value habit — it stops the print being dragged across zips, buttons and everything else in the drum.
Iron on the reverse, or over a cloth. Direct heat on a DTG print will not usually destroy it, but it can glaze the surface of the cotton around it and leave a visible shiny patch that no amount of washing removes.
Nothing special is required. The shirt arrives pressed and clean, printed after your order rather than pulled from storage, so there is no sizing or warehouse residue to rinse out first. Wash it when it needs washing.
